Well, it's been a long weekend of house hunting. John came up for the weekend to look with us since he is going to be buying the house with us, as an investment. So we probably looked at around 18 houses in the past 2 days, and 2 of them made the final cut. We couldn't decide between them so hell, we put offers on them both!

This house in the one we are really shooting for. It is in the best location, totally cute from the outside, and has a great layout. The backyard is super nice with a huge deck. BUT, it already has an offer on it, so hopefully ours gets accepted instead! haha
Then this is the other house we put an offer on. It doesn't have as much curb appeal as the previous house (although, the picture wasn't taken on the greatest day) but the inside is much more comfortable. Indoor laundry facilities, bigger rooms, and tiled bathrooms are all perks to this one. It even has a bigger kitchen AND a drive through garage, which is way cool!
So, that's where we are right now, just waiting to hear back from the banks regarding our offers. Both of the offers we made were pretty solid, so hopefully we'll get at least one of them. I am so excited! As always, more updates to come! :)

Lee and I just got back from an amazing trip to the snow with Lee's good friend Eric. We had soooooooo much fun. We went up to Shaver Lake for the day to go snowmobiling! Eric's family owns 4 snowmobiles, so we each got to ride our own! It was Eric, his dad Tim, Lee and me. Considering, I've never driven a snowmobile before, I was having the time of my life.

Here are a few pictures:
(these pics were all taken with my phone's camera, so sorry if they are poor quality, I forgot to bring my camera!)

Lee and I :)
Lee being his normal silly self Meee! :)

The weather was perfect up there. We even started to shed some layers towards the middle-end of the day. The area we went to had lots of trails of all kinds for us to explore on. We took one trail up to the top of the mountain and took a few pictures, the view was gorgeous!

Beautiful view at the top of the mountain
Lee being silly on the giant manly mountain rock
Me at the top of the mountain

On our way back down the mountain, we stopped at this one spot called "the meadow" where, as you can imagine, it was a huge open field of fresh powder. Oh man, was that fun! The snow was probably about 5 feed deep, so it was a little scary going through this huge field...if you stopped, you would sink and get majorly stuck! (which I did once HA). So we played around there, hit some sweet jumps, and headed back down to explore more trails.

Eric tearing it up at the meadow
We had a few set backs throughout the day though, while trying to start one of the snowmobiles (which have a lawnmower type start), the rope snapped. So we were unable to use that snowmobile for the rest of the day, which was a bummer. But it wasn't until later in the day, so it worked out. Then, one of the other snowmobiles was having belt problems? the track wasn't quite catching correctly, but we managed. And finally, on the way home, we heard this weird rattling noise coming from the truck Eric's dad was driving. We were following behind him in another truck on the highway trying to figure out what was making the noise. A few minutes later we see the wheel fly off of his trailer and into oncoming traffic. So after weighing all of our options (we were still about 1.5 hours from Erics house, and from there 2 more hours to our house). We decided we had to leave that trailer behind because the axle broke when it hit the ground. So that meant the 4 of us had to lift these 700 lb. ish machines into the back of each of the trucks. It was nuts. Man am I sore, but it was pretty awesome, I can't believe we managed to do that.

So, that was our snowmobiling trip. Overall we all had a blast! We came home last night and got to spend the evening with John (Lee's brother). I will have to post some photos (and videos!) of the boys doing karaoke once I get them uploaded. It was definitely a fun day/night!

As for today, John is coming with us to look at a few more houses. Our Realtor sent us a new house that we are really interested in! It is way bigger than the one I previously posted, and cheaper! The only drawback is it's a really old house. But from the looks of the pictures, it has undergone major remodeling, so we'll see today I guess.
I stole this quiz from Julie, looked like fun :)

Today was an exciting adventure...

Lee left this morning around 9 for work, and I left shortly after to go to the lake with a few friends. When i got home around 7pm...it looked like a tornado went through our kitchen. Both dogs were looking up at me with guilty faces and full (REALLY FULL...like dragging on the ground - full) bellies. I looked around the kitchen and this is what I saw:

Trash can knocked over
Garbage everywhere
Urine everywhere
Vomit everywhere
Artichoke leaves everywhere
And a chocolate box...empty (which was full when thrown away)
Greeaaaaaat.

So - thank god I work at a veterinary office where I can easily get pet medical advice, even if it's after hours. I'm told I have to watch for certain dangerous symptoms (like tremors, or any other type of unusual behavior) and induce vomiting using hydrogen peroxide. Boy was that fun.

The dogs seem fine now, they are pissed at me for making them drink so much hydrogen peroxide but, sorry dogs, it had to be done. I swear...these two dogs get into more trouble than any child would, I'm sure.

Just wanted to send a quick note to say that I AM A COLLEGE GRADUATE!! I took my last final yesterday and am now completely done!! Of course it's not official until I get the grades, but I'm on the A-B range guaranteed, so no worries about not passing :)! Not sure when the actual graduation date is going to be - sometime in May/June. (I'll keep ya posted)

It's funny, I really thought I wouldn't feel any different once I hit the big day...I mean, education is so gradual, it's not like it hits all at once, you know? But walking around yesterday after I had taken that last test, I definitely felt it. Just that little feeling in the back of my head that makes me randomly smile through out the day. 4 and a half years and a LOT of money I have put towards this goal, and finally I can proudly say that I have achieved my BA!

For those of you who don't know, I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. Sociology is, put simply, the study of humans and their interactions. Sociologists study social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. They study structures like groups, families, organizations and societies and how people interact within these contexts. So really, it's pretty cool, and very broad - which allows me to do anything with the degree.

A good portion of Sociology students go for further schooling to get their masters and do social work like CPS (Child Protective Services), or participate in research projects etc. But I think I've had enough school for now. I'm hoping my degree will just allow me to get that extra edge in capturing that perfect job. Maybe a management position of some sort, I'm still not exactly sure, but regardless, I am glad I got the degree, even if it was just for the sake of gaining overall knowledge.

I applied for a few jobs yesterday, mostly clerical type work at medical offices and a few management positions in small retail stores, but for right now all I need is more hours. My current job at the Veterinary office doesn't have the hours available to bump me to full time, so sadly, I am having to venture out for some new work. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Hoping I get a call back!

That's about it for now, hooray for me!! :)
